A delegation from the Federation of Contractors of Islamic Countries visited the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation met in his office in Jeddah today with Engineer Zakaria bin Abdul Rahman Al-Abdul Qadir, President of the Federation of Contractors in Islamic Countries, Dr. Engineer Malek Dongola, Acting Secretary-General of the Federation, and Engineer Fahd Al-Sharahi. In the meeting, His Excellency the President of the Federation of Contractors in Islamic Countries reviewed the steps taken to revive the federation, which culminated in the convening of the federation’s general assembly in Jeddah on November 24, which was witnessed by representatives of federations, unions, and contractor bodies in the construction sector from 26 countries.

The President of the Federation expressed his thanks to His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for his interest in the Federation and for assigning observers from the Organization to oversee the Federation’s work, especially in its General Assembly, which contributed to its success. His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, also congratulated Engineer Zakaria Al-Abdulqader on the success of the General Assembly and on choosing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to lead the Federation and choosing it as its permanent headquarters.
